When you ask us to design a piece of jewellery for you, we undertake that we will not make that design for anyone else. Each piece will be designed especially for you and individually
priced. Commissioned jewellery is therefore not made available to our bespoke service.
1.) If you look through our jewellery sales and Archive you will get a good taste of our styles and capabilities.
2.) When you commission a piece or pieces of jewellery from us, you are asking us to make something for you based on the styles you"ve seen on our website.
Although we do more intricate pieces, delivery of these will be slower. We reserve the right to decline making these pieces, if we cannot give them the time and thought they deserve.
|
|
3.) Please read and use the commissions notes to send us the information we need to design your piece of jewellery.
4.) We will contact you to discuss your design request, clarify the components, give an indication of the timescale, and an indication of the likely cost.
5.) The design process begins when we agree to make a piece for you.
6). You then put a non-refundable deposit of 30.00 on the piece, for which we will design the piece, make up the first mock-up of the design for you, and e-mail a photograph of the
design. (If the design is more complicated we may have to send photographs of part of the initial design for your approval before the first mock-up.)
We will not at this point finish the item, ie not put the catches/ ear fittings on to the piece.
|
|
7.) If you are satisfied we will finish the piece for you with a notification of the total cost.
8.) If you would like some alteration to the piece please specify carefully what that is, and we will confirm by email what you have asked for. Please note that all alterations increase the
amount of design time and therefore the cost of the piece. We will give an indication of the revised timescale, and likely cost.
9.) We will then make the alteration and send a second photograph, when you have confirmed you are happy we will ask for the final payment and the completed piece will be sent to you after
your payment has been processed.
The jewellery remains our property until the final payment has been cleared.

Please note we retain the copyright of all our designs, and reserve the right to show a picture of the design in the commission section of our Archive. The price will not be
shown.
To discuss your ideas please use our Commissions Notes, and we will contact you to explore options. If you need to have telephone contact for any discussions we will arrange a time
when you can call us. We will email setting out agreed decisions after telephone calls.
We will advise you if we are unable to meet your commission requirements.
To help with ideas please view our Jewellery sales and Archive, and contact us using the details from our Commission Notes.
Specially commissioned pieces are not subject to our returns policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Other comments
For semi-precious please give an idea of what main stones you would like. If you don't know what gemstones you'd like please fill in your preferred colours. We only list the gem
stones that we normally have in stock. Please note that we do not keep all sizes and cuts of stone in stock. If you want a particular cut/size that we do not have in stock, the commission will take longer. If we cannot source your stone requirements and a substitute is not acceptable we will have to refuse the commission.
We will give you an estimate of the completion time. This will of course depend on agreement of the design and our current workload.
Catch (for necklaces, bracelets, anklets)
If you have a special catch requirement please tell us. Otherwise we will put on an appropriate catch for the piece. No catch is required for elasticated items.
Please note magnetic catches and beads must not to be worn by people who have pacemakers.
Earring fittings
Please look at Earring Fittings under Jewellery Info.
Length (for necklaces, bracelets, anklets)
Where an extension chain is needed please put the minimum and maximum size.
Length (for earrings)
Other comments about your requirements.
We will explore with you how we can meet your requirements, and give an initial estimate. If we cannot accommodate your request we will let you know.
Please note
Commission costs will be primarily dependant on the time taken on design and assembly. The more alterations you ask for, the pricier it will become.
All our pieces are designed to sustain normal light wear. Where individual links are used they are generally not soldered so will not sustain unreasonable force. Our jewellery is not
waterproof, if this is a requirement please specify in the section other comments.
Our jewellery is designed for adults, in size and structure. Jewellery contains small parts and is not designed for children to play with. Small parts can present a choking hazard to young
children.
