We are based in Lancashire, close to Morecambe bay, with its fantastic views of the Lake District. In an area of outstanding natural beauty with stunning sunsets, it is easy to appreciate
colour, balance, outline and form - all the things which contribute to a beautiful piece of jewellery! With all this on our doorstep it is difficult not to create new designs.
Our designs are mainly the work of one designer, but to complement our range, we commission occasional pieces from craftsmen who value unique designs.

Our main designer and founder remembers, at about the age of eight, being given a box of Victorian jewellery. This box, which shaped her attitude to jewellery, had belonged to her great aunt, and contained intricate mosaic pieces, strange shaped ebony, gemstones on fine delicate chains, embroidery beadwork designs and a necklace of beads that looked like acorns - a
fascinating, secret treasure-trove.

This discovery joined the child's interest in nature - from vast landscapes to the detail on a beetle’s wing; all the colour and texture of mosses, flowers and grasses; and the
structure, outline and architecture of trees. What an amazing resource for creative ideas! Add to this a mathematicians love of pattern and symmetry; a joy in design, texture and drape in
fabric; and a fascination in shells, rocks, minerals and gemstones, and we have...all the elements of jewellery making, waiting to be used. |

On discovering jewellery construction these ideas swirled into creative designs; for many occasions, many people, many ages, many life styles, and every piece different! With the fun of
creative design came the pleasure of sharing, helping others to make their own pieces, and sharing in their delight at their own creations.
Our company grew out of admiration for the designs made and worn by our founder. When hearing that these were our own creations the comments always were either "Do you sell your jewellery?"
or "Can you make me something like that in xxx?" We started making to commission, and selling some of our designs. At the same time, these questions were being asked at the jewellery making
courses run by our founder, who was delighted at the enthusiasm expressed by men and women, of all ages, about seeing the results of creating their own pieces.
This led to the ethos of our company:

to provide one-off items of jewellery not restricted to just the local fashion of the moment;

to give the opportunity for you to choose a style we've designed to be made to the colours and size you request;

to commission a unique design to meet your requirements;

to create, with individual help, your own jewellery from a wide range of beads and components;
